Norfolk Cetaceans – 2nd January 2017
Kevin Elfleet kindly supplied several photos of the COMMON DOLPHINS he photographed on the 28th December in the River Great Ouse. The one below shows the salient features of identification well; namely the swept back dorsal fin, the long beak and prominent counter shading. The animals, and Kevin estimates there were 4 or 5, were just south of Kings Lynn between the A47 bridge and the smaller bridge a few hundred metres to the north. I called today but there was no sign. Hopefully they have made their way back out to sea.
